New MPPT Product Description:
Product Questions: 1. Q: How many watts (W) of solar panels can be connected? A: The controller can handle 360W with 30A, 480W with 40A, 600W with 50A, and 720W with 60A.
Q: Does this controller support lithium batteries? A: The new controller is compatible with both lead-acid and lithium batteries. If using lithium batteries, you must set the charging parameters after connecting the power. Please refer to the manual for details.
Q: My solar panel is 36V 200W, can I charge a 12V battery? A: To charge a 12V battery, the working voltage of the solar panel should be between 17V and 23V. For a 24V battery, the working voltage should be between 36V and 46V. Ensure the voltage of the power supply and solar panels are within this range, as exceeding it could damage the controller.
Q: Can the inverter be connected to the load side of the controller? A: No, please connect the inverter directly to the battery, not the load terminal of the controller.
Q: Does the controller have any requirements for battery capacity? A: No, as long as the voltage corresponds to the controller's specifications. However, the current of the solar panel and the battery capacity should be compatible. For example, a 5A solar panel is best paired with a 50Ah battery, and a 10A solar panel with a 100Ah battery. Do not use a large board to charge a small battery, as it may be dangerous.
Q: How do you connect the solar panels, batteries, and controllers? A: Always connect the battery first to ensure it is fully charged, then connect the solar panel. When disassembling, remove the solar panel first, then the battery. Connecting in the wrong order could damage the controller and other components.
Solar Charger Controller LCD Display:
Connect Ways: The controller will automatically check the voltage when you connect the battery. When connecting the positive and negative loads, be sure not to reverse the polarity. Connect the solar panels to the solar controller.
Note: Please connect the solar panel and solar controller in the correct order, otherwise the solar controller may be damaged.
Control and Connection Installation Instructions: 1) Install the controller in a well-ventilated location, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures. Do not install it in wet conditions. 2) Use the correct screws (M4 or M5) with a nut diameter less than 10mm to mount the controller on the wall or another platform. 3) Leave enough space between the wall and the controller for cooling and smooth connection. 4) The installation hole distance is 50-60A (98 * 178mm), and the mounting hole diameter is 5mm. 5) Ensure all terminals are tightly connected for better performance.
About the Solar Controller Setting Instructions:
Detailed Description Notice: There are various MPPT technologies. Our Solar Controller's MPPT technology is designed to detect the maximum charging current, not the boost type or automatic charging of the solar panel voltage.
